Program Revisited

As many of you following my posts on reshimu will note, I am a proud alumnus of the Graduate Program for Women in Advanced Talmudic Studies. Often nicknamed GPATS, an acronym I coined myself!
I visited the program yesterday after a year of Columbia to find a peaceful space to write my thesis. And a peaceful, meditative space I found indeed! Lots of natural light, modern decor, an innovative retractable mehitza- GPATS has a beautiful home at last. The new beis is also much larger than the cramped confines of the original, so it feels a little large for the number of women who currently occupy it. Never fear, I am sure the program will grow into it. A few observations.

Undergrads are much younger than they were in my day.
Is it just me, or are there more married stern girls per capita?
Circa is delicious. Also, not so healthy.
And I wrote 4 more pages of my thesis. Yay, GPATS!
